Origins
The story of NSG began with a simple idea: creating a space where Filipino players could play together in text-based MMORPGs.
At the time, many gangs were made up of mixed nationalities, while some communities were dominated by players from specific countries such as Indonesia, Japan, or Korea. However, there had not yet been a gang formed specifically for Filipino players.
On 22 February 2022, K4LM3D suggested the idea of creating an all-Filipino gang so that players from the Philippines could easily find each other, cooperate, and build a stronger sense of camaraderie in-game.
Inspired by this idea, Skae_19 founded the gang the following day.
The Birth of NSG
On 23 February 2022, Skae_19 officially created Nousagi [NSG] gang in the game CyberCode Online.
The name “Nousagi” was inspired by a vtuber admired by the founder. While the name came from that inspiration, the gang quickly developed its own identity centered around teamwork, friendship, and Filipino camaraderie.
In-game, members commonly used the abbreviation NSG, which eventually became the primary way members referred to the community.
Expansion to New Worlds
As time passed, members began exploring other text-based MMORPGs together. The spirit of NSG was no longer tied to a single game.
On 19 October 2023, En_Roise established Nousagi [NSG] within Arclight City, marking another step in the gang’s expansion into new gaming worlds.
This expansion reflected the evolving vision of the community: NSG was no longer just a gang in one game, but a growing network of Filipino players across multiple text-based MMORPGs.
Future Plans
The NSG community continues to look toward the future.
There are ongoing plans to establish NSG in Torn (Torn City). The idea has been discussed by Chief_Marauder, while Jude, Xythran and K4LM3D have also been exploring the possibility.
For now, these plans remain in development as members focus on real-life responsibilities. However, the goal remains to eventually bring NSG into even more gaming worlds.
Legacy
NSG was built on the idea that Filipino players could create their own strong community within the world of text-based MMORPGs.
From a suggestion on 22 February 2022, to its founding in CyberCode Online, and its expansion into other games, NSG has continued to grow through the dedication of its members.
While games may change and time moves forward, the values of the community remain the same: Unity, respect, and friendship.
